Puppet Making Workshop

Bush Attic

Moon On A Stick create theatre through play and exploration and this is your chance to join the fun, learn the first steps of puppeteering and get inside The Tempest, one of Shakespeare’s most magical plays.

This workshop led by members of the The Tempest in a Teacup cast invites you into the world of the play as you explore the themes of The Tempest and meet the puppets that will be used in the show later in the day. Puppetry is all about team work and bringing a character to life on stage so Moon On A Stick will cover the basic principals of puppetry and look at how the puppets in the show are operated.

The workshop will also look at how the world of the play is created and how we might transport an audience from a theatre to a fantastical island in the middle of the sea using live music, storytelling and physical work. This is an opportunity for children to join us in an interactive, energetic workshop and discover something new about The Tempest.

A drink and snack will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move about in.

This workshop is brought to us by Moon On A Stick.
