Be Discovered 2011: Angle at the Bush

BE DISCOVERED 2011

This year the Bush is thrilled to be working in partnership with ANGLE to launch its latest campaign Be Discovered 2011 across six boroughs in West London to find raw and distinctive voices that will breathe new life into the theatre.

In 2009 award winning ANGLE Theatre discovered five new playwrights through its previous East London campaign. One of these playwrights, Mina Maisuria is now under commission to the Bush and another Shamser Sinha showcased extracts from his second play Chicken n Chips at the Bush for the Be Discovered Launch event.

Following the success of the East London campaign, the ANGLE team will be hitting high streets, shops, cafes, cinemas, supermarkets, libraries and community centres in Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Brent and Ealing to discover the very best new writing talent in West London.

The plays will be read and shortlisted and the final chosen plays will be presented at the Bush as part of our Autumn/Winter season. The deadline for submissions is 30th June 2011. Please click here to find out how to submit your play to BE DISCOVERED 2011 or watch the video here.
